威爾斯美語補習班的老師上課活潑，會挑有趣的主題讓大家討論，讓每個人都有開口練習說英文的機會。另外，我主要修習的多益課程，老師非常認真仔細，讓我在第二次多益考試進步了200分左右。威爾斯美語補習班老師們的認真敬業值得推薦我給好評價！

一開始先來上體驗課程，教導我的是Richard老師，他真的很用心唷，跟一般補習班很不一樣，威爾斯美語補習班感覺像是一個國外的語言中心，讓我接觸各式生活用語及文化，讓英文融入我的生活，使學英文不再是枯燥乏味的。 課程的多元及生活化是威爾斯美語最令我印象深刻的給好風評，以前學英文都很擔心自己學的英文是不是真的在英語國家適用，怕講得太制式，讓本地人都覺得奇怪，但在威爾斯美語的課程訓練之下，這個問題也漸漸不那麼困擾我，每位老師及工作人員的熱情親切也是令我印象深刻的唷!! 初學者或是對英文有恐懼的人，威爾斯美語補習班是個很好的學習環境，老師的備課及上課都非常用心，上課時的互動氣氛更是幫助提升語文能力的要素，大家快來做學習吧!!

"Waterfalls"

為鼓勵奇幻文學創作並培養寫作風氣，金車教育基金會舉辦「2014第二屆 金車奇幻小說獎 徵文活動」，近一百七十件投稿作品，徵件作品來自世界各地包括中國、港澳地區等等，顯見文學創作者的熱情不分疆界，透過文字，馳騁無邊無際的想像，開啟了奇幻般的冒險旅程。

本屆首獎得主－巫玠竺，現職為醫師，平日喜歡閱讀，只要看到喜愛的句子會立即抄錄進筆記本並隨身攜帶小說，而這些摘錄的佳句和良好的閱讀習慣都是她創作的養分。透過這個比賽，讓他能試著體貼地去理解視障人士的生活。她仍記得在求學過程中，一位校內文學獎評審曾鼓勵她「一定要繼續寫下去」，畢業後走上醫學這條路，她仍惦記著這句話，沒有放棄寫作。此次獲獎，印證了自己對於寫作的熱情有如璀璨煙火般，躍上天際並綻放耀眼的光彩。

巫玠竺得獎作品《盲眼小女孩看見奇幻之城》，內容描述十二歲的莎夏一出生就看不見這世界。她的黑暗將她隔絕起來，孤獨且不被理解地活著。在某次接受偏方治療後，突然她得以進入一個常人無法造訪的世界──在一座座奇幻之城裡，有著各樣各式的職業紀錄師（如遺言收錄師、圖書閱讀師），觀察並記載著人們的日常。於是小女孩得以在旅程中，短暫地擁有從小就渴求的視力；並從紀錄師們的工作與體悟中，稍稍懂得了生活的意義與價值。於是最終她能再次坦然地，重新擁抱屬於她的黑暗。

今年特別邀請到資深文學作家平路老師、創作名家蘇逸平老師及台灣文學創作者協會謝文賢老師，共選出五名優秀的得獎者。評審團認為首獎作品《盲眼小女孩看見奇幻之城》以盲眼小女孩無邊的黑夜，道出角落人生不被體會的寂寞，作者的筆端，充滿想像力與同理心；練達的文字，將寓言般的意念傳遞得十分精準，而奇幻的元素更令故事渲染上瑰麗的色澤。

金車文藝中心藝術總監張瑋特認為，文字是親切而貼近人心的創作素材，奇幻小說引導人們無限的想像及思考，為觸發人們願意投入創作的動力，將奇幻世界以文字建構出來，金車教育基金會亦將持續透過奇幻小說獎的舉辦，鼓勵更多有志於文學創作者的寫作熱情。

「全民英檢」（GEPT）104年第一次中級聽力閱讀測驗（初試）將於1月18日舉辦，並自103年11月11日起受理報名。財團法人語言訓練測驗中心（LTTC）表示，GEPT中級以上通過證書獲國內近600個大學校系甄選入學列為審查要項，例如：臺大經濟、農化、職能治療等系、成大、中山、輔大等校醫學系、交大外文、中正政治及文藻大學外文、商管等校系。104年第一次中級初試成績將於2月2日發佈，LTTC提醒需取得GEPT成績申請大學的高中生不要錯過報名期間。

LTTC指出，GEPT中級檢測程度相當於歐洲語言參考架構（CEFR）B1程度，測驗項目包含聽力、閱讀、口說及寫作四項評量。該測驗每年約18萬人次報考，近五年報考人數逐年增加，特別是國、高中生成長幅度最顯著，增加1萬多人次。LTTC進一步表示，同樣以高中生為對象的大考英聽測驗於101年推出後並未降低高中生報考GEPT的需求。多數高中生雖有大考英聽成績，但仍報考GEPT，因GEPT成績更能展現個人英語聽、讀、說、寫四項完整能力，且已獲近600校系列為入學申請審查條件，幾乎已是申請大學必備的能力證明。

LTTC研發長吳若蕙分析GEPT近年來報考現象指出，愈來愈多對自己的英文能力較具信心的高中生會在通過中級之後，繼續挑戰難度更高的中高級及高級測驗，甚至有部分高中生直接選擇報考中級以上的級數，目的就是希望能證明自己的英語實力、凸顯個人的競爭力，申請進入理想的校系。吳若蕙表示，雖然自104年起大考英聽成績首度列為大學入學申請門檻，但只獲近一成校系採認，許多學校如臺大、交大等並未採計，她認為高中生報考GEPT的熱度仍會持續不退。

GEPT成績除獲大學甄選入學參採外，也普遍獲大學採認作為免修大一英文課程的指標或畢業門檻，如臺灣大學、交通大學、靜宜大學及東海大學等9所中部地區大學即長期每年辦理GEPT專案校園考。此外，公民營企業也可採專案辦理GEPT，作為招生、徵才或員工派任的英語能力審核標準。今年12月13日為外貿協會國企班/國貿班招生甄試辦理的GEPT專案就是一個例子，其他如臺北晶華酒店、東森國際公司等也採專案施測。
